Your bath is your special, private getaway. Add to the décor of your bathroom while bringing out your soap-making creativity. We are going to make fragrant, handmade, glycerin soaps. Make your bath at-home getaway by adding beautiful and fragrant handmade glycerin soaps. Express your creativity as well as have fun by making your own soaps.
In this course, you will create different types of soaps. We will discuss soap colors, molds, fragrances, essential oils, extracts and herbs. We will have discussions on how to make organic, natural and/or medicinal soaps that are gentle on sensitive skin.

Ingredients and equipment
Where to obtain supplies
Adding herbs, glycerin, extracts
Fragrance oils, colors, and molds.
How to make soap from scratch
How to make chemical-free/organic, herbal and natural soaps.
Knowledge about different types of soap bases, colors, scents, fragrance oils
Information on where to buy soap making supplies
Relax and have fun! Please dress accordingly.
Class lasts about 2-1/2 hours based on class size and discussion.
Note:
Most soaps will need time to set, so we will cut and package them for pickup after 24 hours.

Soap Making Class Workshop
Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly, no soap making experience is required.
What you'll get
A loaf of soap (2 lb) you make in-class, which is about 8-10 bars if cutting 1.25-inch thick pieces.
What to bring
- A face mask (required for handing the caustic materials for about 10-15 minutes)
- A thick towel for wrapping and keeping the soap insulated on your way home
- We will provide the apron, gloves and goggles, but feel free to bring yours.

- Science and knowledge of cold process soap making.
- Dealing with Lye safely and properly
- Tools and Materials/Ingredients required for soap making.
- Basic coloring and scenting skills.
- Step-by-Step cold process soap making procedure.

What you need to know about the workshop/ class:
- We will be working with a chemical called "Sodium hydroxide (lye) " (Lye is used in the saponification process to turn oil into soap - no sodium hydroxide remains in the finished product.) Please be extra careful while handling LYE in class.
- THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR ADULTS ONLY and it requires your full attention while making the cold process soap.
- No pets or kids allowed in the workshop for safety's sake.
- If you're a high school student and would like to attend, you'd need to provide approval by your parent or guardian.
- No walk-ins or sit-ins will be allowed for safety's sake.
Safety Rules and Regulations for the Store and Workshop - Mandatory for Everyone's Protection. Any violation may result in dismissal.
- If you need to reschedule your workshop, please notify us within 48 hours of your scheduled date.
- Wear an apron, gloves, and eye protection (glasses or safety goggles) while making soaps. We will provide these items, or you may bring your own.
- Thoroughly wash your hands with soap before and after the workshop.
- Prohibited items include weapons, drugs, and alcohol within the store and workshop premises.
Registration and Cancellation Policy (Please read carefully):
- Cancellations made within 2 business days before the class will not receive a refund but will be issued a store credit valid for attending a future workshop within 2 months.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop or no-shows will not receive any refund or credit.
- No refund or credit will be issued if you are dismissed for breaking our classroom safety rules.
- In the event that the workshop cannot be conducted as scheduled, you may choose to transfer to another date.

- By participating in this activity or event, I assume all risks involved. For parents registering children under 18 years of age, I give my consent for their participation.
- This includes, but is not limited to, any risks arising from negligence or carelessness on the part of the individuals or entities involved, as well as risks associated with dangerous products, materials, or defective equipment or property under their ownership, maintenance, or control, or due to their potential liability without fault.
